2008奥运会昨天在北京成功开幕。张艺谋导演的开幕式果然有武侠片的风范，掉钢丝点火炬的李宁。还有很多浓厚的中国色彩和莫名其妙的但是象征美好希望的很多小孩。我想现场观众虽然听不到清晰的声音，但在炫光和火影中，一定非常的high. 今天上午还看到了中国的奥运首枚金牌，被“嗨!来!”的女举选手陈燮霞摘得。我衷心的祝福全世界的奥运健儿们，祝福你们取得更好的成绩，更快，更强，更高，更超越自己。 北京欢迎你的MTV还是蛮好听的。 我家大门常打开 开怀容纳天地~ 看不出来北京还有那么多有历史有文化有休闲的地方我还没有去过，在天坛里面溜达一定不错。

最近一段时间，想法总是那么多。书却还没看多少。越是开始看书，越是发现OCM原来真的是想说爱你不容易。薄薄的证书，虽然只比OCP证书差别就是一个单词而已，付出却多了不知道要多看多少个单词才可以。保守估计，100万单词的资料，应该是有的吧。

一直以来，考出OCM都是期望，现在，真的要好好静下心来，看看书，好好的准备自己的测试，准备自己的考试。相信古人不会欺骗我，书中自有黄金屋，书中自有颜如玉！

ok，最为痛苦的奥运保障值班已经结束了，现在，我要作的，就是好好休息，调整自己的作息时间，然后好好看书，好好考试，不断的提高和超越自己。加油，David，一定可以做到最好！

另外，自今日起，不再主动上任何IM工具，例如飞信，例如QQ，例如MSN，所以各位如果有事情找我，直接打我电话就ok了，屏蔽外界干扰，强练内功！

Wow!. New MySQL Community release - MySQL 5.0.67 is just out which as manual says first community release since 5.0.51b. I just recently complained about community release irregularity and I’m glad to see the new release after all.

I only hope this will not be one time event but MySQL will follow its own promises of regular schedule of source and binary MySQL Community releases.

My even deeper hope, though, is MySQL will finally become rational and will stop walking their customers (users of MySQL Enterprise version) over mine field and allow community to check code changes first because of pushing them to the customers. MySQL Enterprise branch had enough serious problems which have been caught quickly by community testing. This also will mean turning back from “what is easy to sell” to “what customers need” as a product driving priority.

Got me thinking about Q&A sites...

I believe the author there has something - if you introduce a barrier to entry, it will have it so that only those that really want in - are in.  I don't know that metafilter is better/worse/same as reddit and digg - I do know that I used to follow digg, then it became a "not as good place" for me.  I follow reddit - but it is becoming very much the same.  I've never used metafilter (on my todo list now) so cannot compare it.  But the *idea* proposed, the concept - it does seem to have merit.

It would be neat to know if this has ever been studied before - does anyone know?  Thoughts?
